Reel to Real Film Fest Elementary

We have more options than previously thought for Elementary Students at the Real to Real Film Fest.   I've had lots of response and we have enough to fill two workshops if we wanted.  So I've tentavilty put together a second day but I need to know if there's interest.  Please confirm if you want Tuesday or switch to Wednesday or if you now want both days ($10 each).  The Real Focus Flyer explains the films http://2012.r2rfestival.org/sites/default/files/ReelFocus2012MasterHQ.pdf

GRADES 2-7 are welcome.  Parents can attend if need be (they might have to give seats up to kids during the films as seating is limited)

Please confirm, change your day, add a day or join us for the first time by emailing me at gvhl.support@gmail.com

If you haven't already, send child's name, age/grade, parents name and contact email.

Tuesday "Illumination" Films and Pixilation Workshop Tuesday April 16th

PIXILATION
Instructor: Scott Kiborn

In this workshop, students will animate themselves! Choreographed by the instructor, the class will glide across the floor, fly through the air, and suddenly disappear. This workshop is a great introduction to special effects.  (Melissa's notes I've been informed that that this workshop is a  fairly passive workshop. Kids are invited to the front to act for the camera as the rest watch- hopefully everybody who wants to act will get a chance but I can't guarantee that)

Wednesday Documentary Day Films and Handmade Film Workshop Wednesday April 15th

HANDMADE FILM
Instructor: Alex MacKenzie

Students will etch and draw on 16mm celluloid to create a short film. At the end of the workshop students will be able to see their work projected. This workshop explores the art and history of cinema.
