An invitation to Home Learners Aged 12-14 yrs . . .

LET'S GET TOGETHER!


Bring your own brown bag lunch and come to the Dunbar Community Centre Youth Room to munch, chat, play games and just generally socialize together.  The youth room is equipped with a place for us to sit and eat together, plus a pool table, a Foosball table, a ping pong table, some lounging chairs and lovely huge windows.  Cost: free.

This is a pilot program to gauge interest, our goal is to create a regular weekly gathering for young home learner teens to connect and have their own social community.  If this sounds good to you, please come out to lunch every Tuesday in November and show your support for this idea!

My name is Joanna Michal, I grew up a homeschooler in Central New York and remember fondly the TEENS group I was a part of as a young person there.  I now reside in Vancouver with my husband Carl and our three children.  My son Jasper and I will be "hosting" this lunch club each week and are looking forward to meeting you!
