For nature enthusiasts 3-11 years old.

Earth Heads has had an successful and exciting year of classes and summer camps. Some of the highlights include, catching and releasing tree frogs, exploring salmon fry in Musquem creek, watching an adult eagle regurgitate a food pellet, spying barred owls and discovering the nooks crannies of Pacific Spirit Park by bike.

We also attended some of Vancouver's community events and young Earth Heads had the opportunity to teach other's what they have learned about their environment.

Earth Heads are science-based classes in nature's classroom. I emphasize hands-on learning and real life experiences! Get your children interested in biology and science at an early age and spark their enthusiasm for learning though hands-on exploration.

Explore and have fun with games, drama, experiments and discovery!

Run by Lisa Duncan a child-care expert and nature enthusiast.

Hello everyone,

The spring Earth Heads Home-Learners classes have a few spaces left in the Tuesday Classes

This is our third year in Earth Heads, and my kids love it--it’s a highlight in our week! Lisa Duncan, founder of Earth Heads, is fantastic at encouraging hands-on exploration of local ecology (in the field), and imparting an understanding and practice of stewardship. Small classes, ensuring plenty of active participation, take place outdoors in locations on the west side of Vancouver such as Musqueam Park, Camosun Bog, and Kitsilano Beach. We’ve studied Great Blue Herons, beavers, coyotes, salmon, Bald Eagles, skunks, bogs, funghi, and lots more! It’s fun, explorational and insightful; and the children remember what they’ve learned because they are fully engaged in the learning process.

Parents with younger siblings are welcome to tag along.
